Multiple/Single Microsoft Office Excel Files

The maps will be exported into XLS or XLSX format depending on your Excel installation.

There are two Excel export options:

• Multiple Microsoft Office Excel files
  Creates individual Microsoft Excel files for each selected process map. The files acquire the names of the process map they are generated from (the Visio filename), and are stored in the Multi-Map root folder.
• Single Microsoft Office Excel file
  Rolls up all the data from the selected maps into a single Excel file. Nodes are listed in groups. Process Navigator will prompt you for a folder location and filename.

NOTE: If you want to export process maps to Excel for editing purposes (replacing shape text, for example) with the intention of importing the files back into Process Navigator it is essential that you take a backup copy of the maps before performing this task, in case of inadvertent errors. You should also run a Non-Triaster Shape Report before attempting the export and correct any reported errors.
